Privacy Policy

1. Overview

TAO.BOT is a non-custodial interface for the Bittensor network, operated by the TAO.BOT team. It is built to work without personal accounts: there is no email or password sign-up, no KYC process, and we never ask for or collect government-issued ID. This page explains what the app actually processes and where it lives.

2. What we collect

Wallet addresses. When you connect a wallet, the app uses your wallet address to look up and display your balances, stake positions, and transaction history. Wallet addresses and their activity are public blockchain data. If you use features that require sign-in, the app asks your wallet to sign a one-time nonce message; the address and that signature are sent to the TAO.BOT API to verify that you control the address and to create a lightweight account record keyed to it. Signing this message costs nothing and does not authorize any transaction.

Usage analytics. In production we use usage analytics to understand how the app is used, including page visits and transaction events (for example the action type, token, amounts, and whether the transaction succeeded or failed). This helps us find problems and improve the product.

Error reports. When something breaks, error monitoring may capture technical diagnostics (the error, browser and device information, and the state of the page) so we can fix it.

3. Data stored on your device

Most of your preferences never leave your browser. The app stores the following in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB, on your device:

• wallet connection state and the sign-in token for a connected address;
• transaction settings such as slippage, deadline, and gas priority;
• interface preferences such as favorite subnets and tokens, table column layout and filters, and dismissed banners;
• your recent transaction list and cached market data, so the app loads faster.

You can clear all of this at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

4. What we do not collect

• No KYC and no government-issued ID, ever.
• No names, email addresses, or phone numbers (unless you choose to share them with us, for example when contacting us on Telegram).
• No private keys or seed phrases. Transactions are signed inside your own wallet; keys never reach TAO.BOT.

5. Third-party infrastructure

Like almost every web app, TAO.BOT runs on third-party infrastructure that may process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and request timing as part of serving you:

• hosting and CDN providers that serve the app;
• blockchain RPC providers (public Bittensor endpoints, and Ethereum endpoints for bridge features) that your browser talks to when reading chain data or broadcasting the transactions you sign;
• market-data sources we aggregate prices and statistics from.

These providers process such data under their own privacy policies. We do not control what independent blockchain networks record: anything you put on chain is public and permanent.

6. How we use information

We use the data above to operate the app, display your positions, debug errors, and understand which features matter. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the infrastructure providers described above or where the law requires it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
